Due to continuous growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Health And Safety Manager, with construction experience, to join our team immediately.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the business to deliver best practice across both employees and sub-contractors;
- Coach, mentor and support employees to continually improve the culture and attitudes towards safety;
- Assist in the development and Implementation of the company HSE Management Plan
- Provide support and guidance in the development and creation of appropriate safety systems;
- Assist in the preparation of appropriate SWMS, work instructions, and all relevant documentation;
- Audit live jobs in line with required standards and legislation;
- Support and assist with sub-contractor onboarding, setting high standards of Health & Safety across all work types;
- Contribute to Project and Procurement planning to meet client expectations in relation to Safety matters;
- Proactively deal with HSE concerns by actively engaging with all stakeholders;
- Responsible for all incident and accident investigations;
- Report on Health and Safety Statistics to the business;
- Provide advice and implement improvement strategies to minimise incidents and LTI’s;
- Subject Matter Expert in relation to safety equipment;
- Strong stakeholder management across the operational business functions;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Cert IV in OHS or relevant Diploma or Degree in OHS;
- More than 5 years construction-based experience;
- Demonstrated Audit experience;
- Knowledge of working with HSE Management Plans and/or ISO Integrated Management Systems;
- People Management experience, leading and mentoring;
- Hands on demonstrated experience managing HSE issues/actions.
