Key duties and responsibilities:
- Lead health, safety, environment governance and strategy.
- Promote a safe working environment and the ongoing development of risk management principles.
- Promote safety awareness, injury, and incident prevention.
- Make improvements and further develop HSE Management System and processes.
- Risk assessment, environmental and regulatory compliance, injury management and rehabilitation and the coordination of operational training and development.
- Advise on internal policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitor legislative changes and take appropriate measures to ensure compliance is maintained.
- Ensure correct systems in place for hazardous work.
- Train and mentor staff members in safety and compliance.
- Incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action management.
- Work to HSE Targets and Objectives.
- Manage the HSE Online Management System.
- Regular reporting to Senior Management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
- Minimum diploma in OHS or WHS.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessing Qualified Trainer and Assessor.
- 3 Years minimum experience gained in the Mining, Maintenance, Civil or Construction.
- Previous FIFO experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Drug and Alcohol screening.
- Ability to pass full medical including muscular fit and fitness assessment.
