About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSEQ) Advisor to join our team in Melbourne to look after Victorian and Tasmanian operations. If you are a proactive Health and Safety professional who believes in positive stakeholder engagement, then this role is for you.
This position is based in Melbourne, and requires onsite presence and periodic intrastate and interstate travel .
Reporting into the Executive General Manager Victoria & Tasmania, your responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
Provide advice on HSEQ compliance and risk management to stakeholders at various levels
Maintain a sound knowledge of current legislation, policies, and guidelines.
Facilitate audits to ensure the HSEQ systems and activities are implemented, effective, and in accordance with legislative and company requirements
Provide advice and support across injury and incident management processes
Manage Workers Compensation claims and liaise with employee and insurer
Work towards achieving optimal outcomes for Return to Work claims
What we are looking for:
Demonstrable experience in implementing WHS audits and managing a HSEQ portfolio
Verified skills in managing Workers Compensation claims and injury claims
Well-organised and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
Have a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
Return to Work certification is desirable
Current drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Full Australian working rights
Be willing to undergo a National Police check
