The Role
SKS Technologies Pty Ltd is expanding across Australia and is now looking for an experienced HSEQ professional to enhance our processes, systems and culture.
The HSEQ Coordinator will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of Safety Policies and Procedures to ensure workplace safety is managed and maintained.
This is a South Australian based role with some travel expectations to WA and NT.
Role responsibilities:
- Provide professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of Health, Safety & Environment processes for all of the works completed.
- Track and communicate regulatory changes and be a central resource for information to ensure compliance with applicable health, safety & environment process requirements
- Help Manage the Health, Safety and Environment reporting statistics.
- Assist and help direct the company’s operations to promote consistency in health, safety & environment policies, procedures and practices with a focus on our onsite work force.
- Work with the HSEQ Manager and General Managers on improving the principles of safety and encourage a culture of personal accountability and ownership of safety throughout the organization.
- Support the Health Safety & Environment programs and provide advice and guidance to company management and senior management on project performance.
Candidate requirements
- University degree or diploma in safety is preferred as well as Industry recognized certifications.
- Experience in the electrical contracting industry or building industry working in a proactive HSEQ role.
- Previous knowledge working with ISO and associated standards.
- A flexible approach to operate in an environment of ongoing change as the business expands.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, investigations and providing recommendations on corrective actions
- A sound understanding of legislative requirements both nationally and regionally to assist with compliance within Australia.
