AddressOur Client is a Civil Contractor who works across civil construction, earthmoving and infrastructure projects. They are looking to grow their HSEQ Team further by engaging a Coordinator with a view to progressing to a Management position in the future.
The focus of this role will see the successful candidate taking ownership of existing systems with a view to developing further. Your background across Civil or Construction is essential as is your capacity to engage at all levels whilst overseeing site safety and risk management advice to clients, employees and contractors across multiple projects whilst ensuring they are working in line with site requirements.
You will be technically proficient and have site safety practical experience, but most importantly you will be a strong communicator, bring strong leadership skills and be able to utilise your experience to shape safety on the project by influencing teams to adopt and adapt workplace safety into all tasks/activities and lead the culture of safety in each project.
You will work closely with operational and management personnel to implement, maintain and improve procedures and standards, as well as collaborating with the HSEQ Manager in monitoring and review of the Business Management System and review and maintenance of internal and external accreditation.
Essential Criteria
- Formal WHS qualifications - ideally diploma in WHS (Cert IV minimum)
- 3 years minimum experience in civil, construction or the mining industry
- Demonstrated high level communication and leadership skills
- Current Driver's License
- Confident computer skills
- Proven experience to work within a Project Management Team
- Previous experience with ISO standards relevant to the development, implementation, monitoring, and auditing HSEQ Management Systems.
