Job description

RDH are currently recruiting for a Geraldton local HSET Advisor to support our civil site projects and our busy Health, Safety, Environment & Training team.

You will be championing our busy civil projects and playing a crucial role in ensuring the well being of our employees and protection of our environment. You will be strongly supported by our HSEQT Manager, Trainers and Assessors and HSE Administrators both in the Geraldton office and when you visit site.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Health and Safety preferably within the Civil Construction Industry. This position requires strong administrative skills as the position will assist in the development and recording of project safety information. 

Role requirements: 

  • Passion for the job!
  • Resident of Geraldton or surrounding suburbs
  • Able to do ad hoc site visits when necessary
  • Willing to learn or have demonstrable knowledge and practical application of WHS legislation (General and Mines Regulations)
  • Demonstrate a proven commitment to safety, teamed with the ability to drive a positive safety culture.
  • Prepare and monitor project HSE project documentation.
  • Experience in the completion of internal inspections and audits
  • Preparation of HSE reports to present to the client on a regular basis.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills with a sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite
  • Strong administration skills and knowledge
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Communicating HSET needs and alerts to the team on the job through pre-starts, toolbox, and safety meetings.
  • Construction industry White card
  • Current unrestricted C driver’s license (Minimum)
  • The ability to coordinate drug and alcohol testing.
  • Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent (Minimum)
  • Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol test

Highly favourable:

  • Cert IV Training and Assessing (Highly Desirable)
  • Cert III Civil Construction
  • HLTPAT004 - Collect pathology specimens other than blood (or Equivalent)
