Marist College Eastwood has seen an increase in enrolment in the last five years. With an increased cohort, a broader subject selection and therefore the creation of more teaching and learning roles, the College is preparing for an innovative future.
Through collaborative work and community consultation the Marist College Eastwood Strategic Implementation Plan was developed. Key Selection Criteria:
The successful applicant will be a highly effective teacher who demonstrates the following:
- commitment to the Catholic Church and a strong sense of faith
- capacity to enliven the values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity and collaboration in students with regard to the Mission and Vision of Sydney Catholic Schools
- qualifications and experience in teaching HSIE and Religious Education subjects and the willingness to undertake postgraduate study in Religious Education, if required
- differentiated pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning
- willingness to undertake continued professional development and faith formation
- willingness to assist and lead students in extracurricular activities like performance and exhibitions
- support the College’s scholastic initiatives and promote its innovation in light of the Strategic Plan
- be prepared to undertake leadership mentoring and training from peers and develop and demonstrate strong professional relationships with colleagues.
You will have attained:
- a Tertiary qualification in Education
- active accreditation with NSW Standards Authority (NESA)
- religious education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach and Lead in SCS
- an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.
