HSSE advisors are vital in managing the associated HSSE risks, preventing harm and achieving Prelude’s Goal Zero ambitions. You’re going to be a key part of our Shell Australia Prelude Asset Team, a team of professionals who are passionate about helping Shell safely deliver cleaner energy solutions.You are expected to role model inclusive behaviours where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued – set clear direction/expectations, motivate, build trust, intervene respectfully, enhance discipline credibility and balance life with work.What’s the role?As the Prelude HSSE Advisor, you will be integrating HSSE delivery into the Asset operations and improvement plans. You’ll thrive on providing challenge, fit-for-purpose solutions, insights and learnings, simplifying ways of working, and directly supporting our operations. More specifically, your role will include:Championing and role modeling HSSE Leadership to strengthen and maintain a positive and disciplined HSSE culture in Shell Prelude FLNG which has evident line practice and accountability.Partnering with the business to deliver HSSE support services in Shell Prelude FLNG to implement and assure controls, drive continuous improvement of HSSE processes, and enable delivery of world class health, safety, security and environmental performance and deliver safety culture improvements.Advising and coaching contract holder community in practical application of Contractor HSSE Management process to deliver the aspired contractor HSSE performance.Driving engagement and advocacy with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, in particular the regulator and process assurance team, facilitating learning within Prelude, and working collaboratively with your Prelude HSSE team to share best practices and address common issues.What we need from youWhen it comes to nurturing collaborative stakeholder relations, your interpersonal and influencing people skills will make a difference. You will inspire people to make changes that will have a direct impact on our success.Furthermore, you will have:Proven experience in operational safety with a background in production operations, maintenance, turnaround and project execution. Significant experience working with operational teams and positively impacting safety culture.Demonstrated experience in practical implementation of Human Organisational Performance (HOP) approach in the workplaceBachelor or Grad Diploma or Masters OHS or relevant area, or equivalent is desirable.Thorough knowledge of WA and Commonwealth HSSE legislation and standards. Advanced knowledge in the application of HSSE legislation, tools and techniques.Proven experience working with internal and external stakeholders with advanced application of relationship & liaison skills.Skill in implementing and continually improving internal working processes.
