AddressOur Social Infrastructure & Citizen Services contract at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) represents one of Downers’ largest facilities management contracts in the Health sector.
You will be part of the Operations team, reporting to the Mechanical Services Leading Hand. The role of HVAC and Refrigeration Mechanical Technician will draw on your previous experience and knowledge of maintenance and reactive repairs to deliver high quality outcomes. You will be working alongside a great team of trades personnel, working on heating and cooling towers, chillers, assisting with minor work and modification projects, fault finding, change outs, scheduled maintenance and planned preventative maintenance. This role will keep you busy!
About You
To be successful in this role, you hold the following experiences and attributes:
- Certificate III in Electro technology, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
- Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning trade certification (Mandatory)
- WHS General Induction for the Construction Industry (White Card)
- Asbestos Awareness certificate (preferred)
- WorkSafe High Risk Licence to operate boom type EWP (preferred)
- EWPA Yellow card to operate scissor lift, one-person lift, boom lift under 11 metres (preferred)
- Proven experience working with central plant HVAC, Mechanical Systems, BMS Systems and Commercial Refrigeration systems
- Great working attitude with a willingness to learn and be part of a excellent team that have regular team activities!
