My client is all about hydraulic component remanufacturing, handling both surface and underground components. They focus on precision, quality, and continuous improvement. Based in Wacol, they work with a variety of clients and projects, making sure no two days are the same and keeping the work environment dynamic and interesting.
Duties:
- Overhauling hydraulic components such as cylinders, pumps, valves, motors, final drives, rotary heads, and accumulators.
- Stripping, rebuilding, or modifying components as needed.
- Testing components to ensure accuracy and fault finding.
- Updating job cards with parts used and maintaining detailed records.
- Performing daily tasks across all service areas, including gearboxes and rotators.
- Troubleshooting and providing assistance to team members.
- Working on-site with occasional fieldwork at customer premises.
- Solid knowledge in hydraulic functions and extensive experience with hydraulic pumps and motors.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuits and schematic drawings.
- Proficiency in rebuilding and modifying mechanical components, including intricate parts.
- Safe operation of tools and machinery, with experience in remanufacturing equipment.
- Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Innovative thinker with a proactive approach and readiness to embrace change.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Certificate III or IV in Mechanical Engineering (Certificate IV in Fluid Power is desirable).
- Current manual driver’s license and forklift license.
- Computer literacy in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Monday to Friday work schedule with 6:45am to 3:30pm shifts.
- 9-day fortnight with a half-day off every second Friday.
