About the Opportunity
Berendsen Fluid Power is on the lookout for a Hydraulic Fitter / Machinist to join our high performing team, located in Bundaberg QLD 4670.
We are looking for a self-starter that shares our company values and is wanting to grow alongside the company. This role will see you working across a broad range of industrial sectors, providing breakdown and diagnostics support on hydraulic systems and equipment used in fixed plant and mobile equipment.
Your responsibilities in this role will include.
- Repair and overhaul hydraulic cylinders used in a variety of applications.
- Strip, measure, inspect and report on all components.
- Cleaning and preparing components.
- Assemble and testing of cylinders.
- Provide routine preventative maintenance services on existing hydraulic equipment.
- Perform allocated work within the workshop, which will include cylinder rebuilds, pump and motor repairs and testing.
- Perform work safely and comply with WHS procedures.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will possess;
- Relevant trade qualifications (ie Diesel, Mechanical or Hydraulic Fitter)
- Hydraulic overhaul and machining experience.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics together with sound report writing capabilities.
- Understanding of the re-manufacture process including fitting, machining, and welding.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
- Ability to work well within a team and autonomously.
- Valid Driver's Licence and demonstrated safety first mindset.
