Role Overview:
As a Hydroponics Vegetables Grower, you will play a pivotal role in our farming operations, overseeing the cultivation and maintenance of crops grown hydroponically. You will work closely with our team to ensure the health and vitality of our plants, optimise growing conditions, and contribute to the success of our farm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain hydroponic systems, including nutrient delivery systems, and environmental controls.
- Monitor plant health, nutrient levels, and environmental conditions to optimise growing conditions and maximise crop yields.
- Plant, transplant, prune, and harvest a variety of crops, including leafy vegetables, herbs, microgreens, and edible flowers.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of farming equipment and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with team members to implement best practices, troubleshoot issues, and achieve production targets.
- Maintain accurate records of crop production data, including planting schedules, harvest yields, and quality control measures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hydroponic farming or a related field preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
