Hyper-V / Active Directory Specialist

About the role
As the Hyper-V / Active Directory Specialist who can manage all patching, cluster management and general operational activities relating to Hyper V / AD. You will work within a 3rd Level BAU Support team including new projects.
*Flexible Working Environment - be based anywhere in Australia!
Key Responsibilities (Not Limited too)

• Hyper-V patching, including Patching Guests and Patching Hosts.
• Hyper-V architecture and renewal experience.
• Hyper-V Cluster configuration, including iSCSI Storage Target Setup, Setting Up Virtual Switches, Creating a Hyper-V Cluster, Hyper V Clustered Shared Volumes, and Creating a Highly Available VM.
• Use Powershell to manage and configure Hyper-V.
• Set up Veema backup for Hyper-V Virtual machines.
• Hyper-V management.
• Hyper-V Migration, Perform Hyper-V VM Live Migration without Failover Clustering.
• Migrate Hyper-V VMs to Azure.

Skills and experience

• Minimum of 7+ years of Windows/Active Directory/Hyper-V Systems Engineering experience within a corporate or enterprise 3rd Level BAU Server Support & Projects environments.
• Strong understanding and experience of large Windows Server environments.
• Excellent technical/SME experience with Windows 10, Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy (config management including application deployment), DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and Certificate Services.
• Hyper-V Virtualization SME experience - MUST have extensive current hands-on end to end project implementation skills and 3rd Level Support skills with Hyper-V.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer stakeholder engagement skills, including exceptional customer service skills.
