I&C Systems Completion Engineer

On behalf of our client,Chevron Australia, we are seeking for a BWI I&C Systems Completion Engineer to join the J-IC Systems Completion team.

Reporting to J-IC Systems Completion Manager, this role will advocate integration across the instrumentation and controls scope, including facilitating the safe efficient turnover of the J-IC MCP systems from Construction to pre-commissioning and from pre-commissioning to commissioning.

The position will start as a Perth based assignment, transitioning to site based BWI (rotational) commissioning and start-up.

• Provide input and support to the development, alignment and execution of testing framework and plans (site acceptance, integration, and operational performance testing.
• Review and participate in the execution of integrated start-up plans and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient start-up of the BWI Integrated assets; Developing an understanding of the entire BWI I&C scope and work to mitigate key risks to enable a successful start-up from a control engineering perspective.
• Supporting start-up execution and troubleshooting activities during start-up and early operation.

• Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
• Relevant experience.
• Experience in providing process control support in a commissioning, start-up and/or operating environment.
• Exposure to developing and/or reviewing control philosophies, strategies and procedures.
• Execution experience, specifically in the handover and acceptance of process control related deliverables from project to Operations would be highly desirable.
• Experience in instrument loop tuning and trouble-shooting desirable.
• Experience in process control systems.
• Ability to monitor & to maintain process control tuning parameters.
• Experience with developing & reviewing key process control deliverables process control narratives and vendor package information
• Experience working within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
• Proactively seeks out and shares lessons learned.
• Experience participating in Process Hazards Analysis (PHA), Pre-start-up Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to communicate at all levels, develop and foster effective working relationships with stakeholders.
• Must be able to support management objectives and be a change champion as required

• 12 month contract (initially)
• Perth based then transitioning to site based BWI (rotational 2 weeks on & 2 weeks off) commissioning and start-up.
