SalaryAbout the Position:
We have an excellent opportunity available for a permanent full-time ICT Officer in our Corporate, Governance and Financial Services Directorate located in Moranbah. Reporting to the Senior ICT Officer, this position is responsible for providing technology support to our internal staff across the Isaac Regional Council.
The ICT Officer will maintain a high level of customer service while handling ICT helpdesk activities. This includes correctly prioritising service requests and scheduling job execution. In this role, you will provide specialised technical advice, troubleshooting, and training to system users. You will also be responsible for maintaining computer and communication systems, including enhancements, and assisting in the delivery of service desk projects such as desktop hardware and software renewals and installations.
For this position we offer:
- Base salary between $76,472.16 - $83,320.05 per annum (Stream A Level 3 - 4) plus allowances
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
- 5 weeks annual leave plus 17.5% loading
- Up to 13.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- Fortnightly rostered day off (RDO’s) in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement

We are seeking an enthusiastic person who possesses:
- Tertiary qualifications within IT or related field experience in a similar role
- High level experience in utilising the Microsoft Suite of Products;
- Demonstrated experience working within Windows-based desktop environment of 300+ users;
- Demonstrated experience in internal information systems and application software;
- Experience working in a similar role and demonstrated experience working within a helpdesk team
- A current C Class Open Australian Drivers Licence.
- Local government experience is highly desirable
