The Technology and Information Management team maintain Comcare's Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) infrastructure and provide strategic leadership, governance, solutions and advice for the effective management of information.
The key duties of the position include
The ICT Project Manager will deliver and support the delivery of ICT projects and initiatives. This role will work independently to support and contribute to significant technology changes to Comcare's ICT capabilities and deliver components of the ICT Asset Management Lifecycle Replacement plan, and the ICT Strategy.
The current ICT Asset Lifecyle Replacement Plan delivers core infrastructure (network, server, storage, video conferencing, multi-function devices, headsets, laptops, phone fleet etc) and corporate software upgrades including the Windows SOE. This role will be responsible for gathering requirements for ICT Asset replacement projects and refining the needs of end-users as input to technology solutions.
This role will manage the rolling ten-year ICT Asset Lifecyle Replacement Plan that will ensure ICT infrastructure is maintained at optimal operational levels to deliver ongoing ICT Services to Comcare.
The ICT Project Manager will have a diverse range of experience in leading project teams to success, clearly demonstrate their ability to manage projects, undertake business analytics activities, manage procurement processes and outsourced service providers to deliver quality outcomes. The scale and complexity of these projects often translates to a need for business operating model changes.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Work simultaneously on multiple ICT Asset Lifecycle Projects and other projects and initiative as directed.
- Undertake high level research, horizon scanning and analysis to identify future ICT trends and related strategies to deliver documentation for project options papers or business cases.
- Manage the ICT Asset Lifecycle Replacement Plan and the financial responsibilities of adding assets to the corporate asset register.
- Ability to take direction, chair project meetings and/or workings groups and execute project plans to influence change.
- Prepare and maintain various documentation required by the projects, these could include, process definition, business requirements, data mapping, solution design, use and test cases, procedures, project status reports and other correspondence for TAIM projects.
- Manage project governance and assurance processes, identify, and manage risks and issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Prepare procurement documentation and chair procurement processes.
- Deliver communication plans and briefings for projects or programmes of work.
- Manage the planning and development activities as well as business improvement practices for Comcare.
- Contribute to the planning of project and business initiative objectives.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience
- Project experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle and hardware replacement.
- Formal ICT qualifications or certifications and/or Project Management.
- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
