The Opportunity
In the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Project Manager position, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of Club approved IT led projects. In this role you will be a leader who manages multiple teams through the planning and execution phases of Information and Communication Technology projects.
You will be responsible for managing, delivering, monitoring and the overall governance of the projects. Your expertise will contribute to project design, governance arrangements, and operational integration. You will be accountable for ensuring project milestones are achieved within budget and timelines, and that project deliverables meet high standards of quality. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in stakeholder engagement and communication, supporting innovation, and driving business improvement strategies along with assessing of the outcome of the project delivery and the value creation it was designed for.
Key Accountabilities
- An ICT Project Manager maintains and clearly defines a company's standards throughout the process of each project's delivery and implementation.
- The ICT Project Manager will handle the quality of each project produced and provide direction on how to assign resources, plan projects before implementing them and delegate tasks to stakeholders responsible for project delivery.
- The ICT Project Manager monitors the budget and manages the project policies, processes, and guidelines to ensure the internal customers are satisfied when a project is finished.
- To manage alongside the Head of IT accredited ICT and cyber security projects.
- To collaborate with project business analysts and internal stakeholders to gather project requirements, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- To develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.
- To follow up on tasks proactively with internal and external stakeholders to avoid delivery delays.
- To identify project opportunities for improvement within the Club and engage with potential stakeholders to understand their needs
- To manage stakeholder expectations, negotiate priorities, and facilitate decision-making to ensure project success.
- To act as the primary point of contact between all parties including potential external vendors, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing any concerns, and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- To monitor project progress, identify, and address potential roadblocks or bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.
- To oversee the quality control process, ensuring that the completed work meets the defined quality standards and business requirements.
- To foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
- To maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, meeting minutes, and other project-related records.
- To use project scheduling, financial tracking, and control tools to monitor project plans, schedules, budgets, expenditures, risks, and issue management.
- To monitor project progress and create project status reports.
Experience and Expertise
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience implementing projects, solid understanding of technologies and best practices.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in IT or another relevant subject.
- A track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Capable to manage resource planning.
- Experience in managing vendors and ensuring completion of work packages on time by the vendor.
- Effective negotiation, influencing, and people and stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, capable to problem solve
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Quality-focused mindset with the ability to ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards.
- Sound knowledge and experience using project management tools, processes, and systems.
- As the primary point of contact for team members, you must be able to provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement for achieving goals.
