Responsibilities include:
1. System Administration: Designing and maintaining both on-premises and cloud system infrastructure, ensuring it is efficient, effective, and aligned with best practices and standards. This involves overseeing end-to-end delivery of diverse cloud, server, storage, and application infrastructure projects, with a focus on comprehensive solutions encompassing virtualization, database systems, high availability setups, and cloud architectures. The engineer will also develop and uphold frameworks, standards, and procedures for maintaining and evolving cloud infrastructure, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all projects and operations.
2. Service Delivery: Providing values-based service delivery, prioritizing customer requirements, and actively engaging in process improvement activities. Leveraging ITIL processes to maintain and enhance standard workflows and processes in service delivery.
3. Technical Support: Offering specialist technical support for escalated, critical, and unresolved issues, particularly related to cloud, server, and application infrastructure, including virtualization, high availability, business continuity, SSO, and IAM. This includes effective liaison with stakeholders, optimization of operational monitoring and support processes, and timely response to incidents.
Overall, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the organization's ICT infrastructure, with a strong focus on cloud technologies and identity access management to support core business objectives.
What you will bring to the role
- Degree in Information Technology or a related field, along with industry certifications in ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, or Cloud (AWS or Azure).
- Project management qualifications are desired but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and managing ICT system projects, particularly those involving cloud technologies and IAM.
