Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land – the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
The Gallery attracts around 1 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.
With our expanded campus recent opening the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

About the Role
The Information Communication Technology (ICT) Technical Analyst supports and maintains technology and services across a broad range of ICT technical infrastructure and systems.

What technical / soft skills you require
- Demonstrated at least 3 years experience working in a ICT help desk/technical support role
- Experience in the installation and use of a wide range of computer and telecommunications equipment and peripherals and the use and application and operating system software in a mixed Microsoft and Apple systems environment
- Experience and knowledge of supporting enterprise business systems application software. Experience with supporting Vernon, Fotoware, SugarCRM, SAP and Content Manager would be a distinct advantage
Targeted questions
- Describe a time when you were responsible for a complex technical incident that had been escalated to you for resolution. Explain your process to diagnose and resolve this fault and how you managed expectations of the stakeholders affected. (300 words)
- Describe a recent technology project you were involved in. Explain your role in the project, what challenges you faced and what you learned from the experience. (300 words)
Part of the assessment process may include additional online capability testing, skills testing or work samples in accordance with the new Government Sector Employment Act 2013, therefore you may be contacted to participate.
