With our North Geelong Store currently experiencing huge demand, we are excited to commence recruitment for a Grocery Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

The role

Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years prior experience in a similar role preferably in the Grocery industry and have exceptional communication and drive to help manage the day-to-day operations of our IGA department.

Our operating environment is vibrant, fast-paced and 'hands on' and offers a great opportunity for someone to grow within the Company and become an integral member of not only our team but the APCO brand.

It is expected that you will be focused on implementing an exceptional customer experience at all times, along with offering a supportive and friendly team environment. 

The ideal candidate would be a Team Leader or senior retailer who is looking for the opportunity to make their mark on an APCO/IGA Store with an emphasis on 'fresh', and to grow their career.

Key responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Effectively assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Grocery floor including stock ordering, rotation and ensuring cleanliness/hygiene is maintained at all times.
• Ability to communicate professionally with a diverse range of customers, suppliers and internal Company representatives.
• Always ensuring that customer service is the main priority for the Store.
• Undertaking merchandising and rotation of stock to ensure that in-Store presentation standards are always achieved.
• Being fit & physically capable of undertaking heavy lifting and being on your feet for long periods of time is essential for this role.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a grocery (preferred) retail role.
• A positive attitude and drive to succeed.
