Additional Information:
• We have Permanent Part-time roles that are 30hrs/fortnight.
• As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts.
• You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
• Shift times can range between 7:00am - 9:00pm.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
• If your application is successful, you may be invited to complete a video interview as part of the recruitment process.
• If your application is progressed, you will be invited to a an in-person Group Assessment Centre on Tuesday 25 June 2024.
• If your application is successful, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction on Monday 08 July 2024.
About this work area
As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with food standards by keeping it clean and organised.
• Food preparation and cooking with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
• Inspecting food items for quality freshness
• Take corrective actions to ensure consistency when cooking food.
• Prioritising strict cooking timelines and multi-tasking under pressure during rush hours.
• Operation of ovens and induction cooktop.
• Active selling, cash handling and customer service.
• Processing dishes and maintaining the washing up area and machines whilst supporting and maintaining the cleanliness of the Co-worker Restaurant.
Who you are
As an IKEA Food Co-worker you are:
• Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.
• Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
• Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people.
• Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
