We are currently seeking a reliable and empathetic female Disability Support Person to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the well-being and independence of our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients with their daily activities and personal care needs
- Providing physical and emotional support to ensure their overall well-being
- Facilitating social interactions and engagement in community activities- Assisting with meal preparation and medication management, if required
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client progress
- Complying with all safety guidelines and procedures
- Collaborating with the broader team to create a positive and inclusive environment
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Blue Card and Yellow Card.
- Demonstrated experience with manual handling techniques and wheelchairs.
- Experience with medication.
- Speak Chinese (not Essential)
- An understanding of the specific challenges faced by individuals with disabilities
- Compassion, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
- A commitment to providing tailored support that respects the dignity and individuality of each client
- Availability to work approximately 14 hours per week with flexibility regarding shifts
