About the Role
The Immunisation Nurse will administer vaccinations to clients as part of the City of Playford Immunisation Service through secondary schools, businesses, seasonal influenza programs and community clinics.
In this role you will:
- Administer vaccines to the community as part of the annual vaccination program.
- Provide information about vaccinations and their benefits in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide community education and advice to consumers and other allied health professionals.
- Participate in weekly clinics and support the Community Immunisation Nurse Coordinator to ensure compliance with service delivery standards and demands.
- Timely and accurate data entry of vaccination records.
About You

You are someone who can demonstrate experience in a similar role, including the ability to work effectively with the community and organisational stakeholders. You will be a Registered Nurse with the ability to work independently to provide immunisation clinics and you will have a solid working knowledge of common vaccines and their precautions and contra-indications.
You will also value community-based service delivery and enjoy working with people from a variety of backgrounds. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under broad guidance with minimal supervision.
