The Atlassian Foundation is creating a more compelling volunteering and giving experience for our employees. We’re rolling out a new program to incentivise and support Atlassians to be the change they seek and make a bigger positive impact on the world.
To help make this new program a success, we’re seeking someone with a strong background in employee communications and program management.
1. Internal Communications (60%)
Working closely with the Atlassian Foundation’s Communications Lead, you will plan and deliver various global and regional internal communications campaigns.
Specific tasks include (but not limited to):
Supporting the roll-out of the Foundation’s new employee engagement program (“Foundation Rewards”)
Create engaging content to promote in various internal channels (e.g. Confluence (intranet), Slack, digital signage, town halls) and external channels (e.g. our website, Atlassian’s social media).
Create inspiring videos (ranging from simple DIY videos to more professional videos with the support of a design team or agency).
Connect with stakeholders from across the Atlassian business.
Measure the effectiveness of communications and suggest improvements.
2. Program Management & Local Activations (40%)
In addition to your communications competencies, you will have significant program management responsibilities.
Specific tasks include (but not limited to):
Planning and leading high impact, cross-functional programs or projects (add with a strong sense of urgency and commitment)
Defining the project scope, success criteria, roles, and responsibilities, and communicating with the team throughout a project’s life cycle.
Actively contribute to the design & delivery of communication & change management plans
Working closely with our internal Program Manager to promote the program management craft across the Enablement Unit and wider Foundation Team.
Finally, as our Sydney-based team member you will provide on-ground programmatic support for Foundation events and activations in Sydney
A strong candidate will have
Proven experience using communications to inspire and engage an internal audience (especially within consumer or enterprise technology brands).
The ability to engage people in both a face to face and remote/virtual world
Demonstrated experience and success leading high impact, cross-functional programs or projects
Experience managing projects and programs that deliver impactful outcomes.
Knowledge and experience of agile frameworks and ways of working.
A problem solver mindset; willing to adapt when necessary; comfortable with ambiguity, and empowered to “be the change you seek”.
A bias for action, constantly striving to get things done.
A strong interest in corporate philanthropy and employee engagement.
It’s a bonus if you have
Experience working with Atlassian products to manage projects and programs (Jira, Confluence, Trello, Atlas, etc).
Graphic design skills.
Experience in creating video content
Work experience in the nonprofit/social impact sector.
Experience using virtual collaboration tools like Miro and Mural.
