Role Overview:
As an In-House Accountant, you will be integral to our finance team, engaging in various accounting and finance processes. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including tradespeople, suppliers, and clients, to ensure accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and manage invoicing processes.
- Handle suppliers' invoices and rectify credits.
- Present balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Cross-check materials orders to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct business diagnostic analysis (an added advantage).
- Create and present graphs and reports using Excel.
- Prepare and manage budgeting forecasts.
- Organise finance and refinance options for loans.
- Perform banking and reconciliation tasks using QuickBooks.
- Manage weekly payroll.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Communicate with tradespeople regarding receipts and follow up on overdue payments.
- Communicate with suppliers or clients to sort out any payment issues.
Requirements:
- Proven financial background and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
- Strong communication skills to interact with tradespeople, suppliers, and clients.
- Ability to manage and follow up on receipts and overdue payments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organised.
- High level of computer literacy, including expertise in MS Office Suite and analytics tools.
- Experience with large ERP systems (advantageous).
