Form of work Job Description Provide advice in relation to our clients obligations as a Self-insurer under the WCIMWCIM Act and under the WorkCoverWorkCover WA Insurer and Self-insurer Principles and Standards of Practice; Provide strategic and technical advice in relation to workers'workers' compensation claims, including: liability, quantum and reserving advice and settlement recommendations; proactive and effective strategies for the management of claims; working collaboratively with other functions to provide legal claims management support; recommendations regarding factual investigations and expert evidence; preparation of instructions and briefs to external solicitors and Counsel. Manage litigated workers'workers' compensation claims and provide advocacy services including: drafting of court documents including WorkCoverWorkCover applications, outlines of submissions and settlement documents; appearing as counsel at WorkCoverWorkCover WA at conciliation conferences, directions hearings, interlocutory applications, arbitration hearings and assessments of costs.
