Based at the the Gold Coast University Hospital, where our valued client has an active and engaging working environment, you will manage the clinical waste bin transportation service throughout the facility ensuring best practice whilst providing a seamless clinical waste collection service within the hospital.
In house Waste Handler
- Mon-Fri and required to work a split shift (3am-7am and 9am – 1pm (Starting times may be negotiable)
- Applicant is required to hold an ABN and associated insurances including WorkCover and Public Liability insurance)
- Required to work in the Gold Coast Region - Servicing the Gold Coast University Hospital, however position will report directly to Ace Waste
Role:
- Applicant is required to provide transportation of full and empty clinical & related waste Mobile Garbage Bins from various generation and receipt points of the Gold Coast University Hospital
- Coordination of additional bins when required
- Communication with internal stakeholders on clinical waste requirements
- Ordering of consumables
Requirements:
Must have ABN (Sole Trader or happy to obtain)
- Waste handling or waste management experience desirable, however not mandatory.
- Open Driver’s License
- Must be a self-starter, super reliable and punctual.
- If required applicant must backfill own leave
- Applicant must present well and hold excellent communication skills
- Parking facilities available at hospital
- Must be self-driven (autonomous role)
- Australian working rights
- Orientation provided.
The successful applicant must be COVID-19 vaccinated.
The successful applicant must pass a National Police Check.
