We are seeking a dedicated Incident Management Consultant to join our Psychology, Safety and Wellbeing Team and contribute to fostering a secure and supportive learning environments across our Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) schools.

What you will be doing?

This role is responsible for providing expert guidance and support to CEWA schools in developing and implementing comprehensive Incident Management plans. This role will work closely with school leadership, CEWA Office staff, and local authorities to enhance the overall emergency preparedness and response capabilities of CEWA schools.

What we can offer you

  • Salary range for this position is J1 to J4 on the CEO salary scale ($126, 288 - $141, 406 per annum) plus superannuation.
  • 5 days additional paid leave when the office closed (over Christmas and Easter).

We are seeking candidates with the following skills:

  • Proven experience in incident/ emergency management, with a focus on schools and educational institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices related to school incident/emergency management.
  • Ability to communicate specialist advice and provide guidance on incident/emergency prevention, preparedness, response and recovery.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess potential risks, vulnerabilities and identify appropriate mitigation strategies and control measures.
  • Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with school leadership, office staff and stakeholders.
  • Ability to build capacity and capability in others through developing and delivering professional learning and training.
  • Ability to write and create reports, training materials, Incident Management plans and associated resources.
  • Ability to collaborate and work both as a member of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
  • Possession of current C class driver's licence.
  • Experience and training in Incident Management Systems such as Australasian Inter-Service Incident Management System (AIIMS) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the West Australia Emergency Management arrangements as defined within the State Emergency Management Act (2006) is highly desirable.
  • Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment is highly desirable.

A current National Police History Check as issued by the Department of Education Western Australia and a Valid Working with Children must be provided by the successful applicant.
