AddressWe are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Inclusion Support Worker to join our client's team in Bellfield. This role will focus on providing tailored support to children in kindergarten class, aged 3 to 5 years, who require additional assistance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the kindergarten class to support children with additional needs or challenging behaviors, ensuring they can fully participate in all activities.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized support plans for each child, focusing on their unique strengths and needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to children as needed, offering guidance, encouragement, and assistance with activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting acceptance, understanding, and respect for all children.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress and discuss strategies for support at home.
- Collaborate with external specialists, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to implement recommended interventions and support strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the support provided to children, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs or challenging behaviors is preferred.
- Qualifications in childcare or as a Teacher's Aide are advantageous but not essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development and a commitment to fostering inclusion and diversity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, with scheduling flexibility to accommodate the needs of the children.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check.
