Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and talented Indian Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian cooking, with the ability to prepare a variety of traditional and modern dishes. The Indian Cook will assist the head chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in the creation of menu items and daily specials.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management and stock control.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in training sessions and follow established procedures and recipes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Indian Cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
- Knowledge of various Indian cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Culinary training or relevant certification is a plus.
