About the Role
Swinburne’s Moondani Toombadool Centre (MTC) is seeking to appoint an experienced and engaging Indigenous Outreach and Future Student Advisor.This is an exciting opportunity for a trusted advisor to inspire and engage with future Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students by managing student recruitment strategies, implementing improvements, and delivering a smooth entry process for VET, HE, and online Indigenous students.This role works in collaboration with MTC partners, schools, and Indigenous organisations at local and national levels to increase Indigenous student enrolments through targeted marketing and recruitment activities.Key to this position is Increasing awareness of the Moondani Toombadool Centre and Swinburne University among potential Indigenous students, providing course information and advice, engaging with schools, and maintaining relationships with external organisations.About You
You will play an important role as a recognised authority within the field, in inspiring and attracting Indigenous students through schools and community engagement opportunities and platforms.This position also provides support and advice to all potential and current Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students aspiring to pathways for further study.In addition, you will identify external marketing opportunities to promote MTC and Swinburne as the University of choice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and manage the collection of data for all outreach and on-campus future Indigenous students’ engagement activities for reporting purposes.For more information on this role, please refer to the job descriptionQualifications
  • A minimum of three to four years subsequent relevant experience in a similar role consisting of pathways, recruitment, outreach, university admissions or appropriate management expertise in technical or administrative fields
  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples in an education/training setting.
