Our client is a boutique organisation, located in Sydney’s CBD. Stepping away from a traditional and rigid accounting environment, this firm has created a modern and progressive practice, with the aim of being one of Australia’s most tech savvy and efficient accounting firms.
Attracting a range of clients including HNWs, entrepreneurs and small business owners. They have created a collaborative team environment in Sydney, working closely with an overseas compliance team. This role would appeal to an experienced Individuals Return accountant looking to gain exposure to business services/other entity accounting in the future.

The Position:
- Liaise with clients to collect info required to prepare Individual Tax Returns.
- Utilise online document management systems, particularly XERO.
- Supervise a team of overseas accountants who will focus on tax preparation.
- Review drafted returns and give feedback to juniors as well as provide mentoring and training.
- Be the first point of contact for clients and handle any general queries.
About You:
- 3+ years’ experience in Australian taxation.
- Expert in Individual Tax Returns.
- A high level of computer skills is a must.
- Experienced in managing clients and handling general queries.
- Experienced in reviewing the work of junior accountants and providing mentoring and coaching.
- Experience in working with offshore staff members.
- Efficient and results driven accountant.
- Keenness to learn more complex accounting matters and gain exposure to other entities.
