About the role - An exciting opportunity exists for an Industrial Technologies (ITD) and Visual Arts School officer to provide support to teaching staff in delivering diverse opportunities to students. This role is unique and blends a range of skills that include administration and organisation as well as hands on equipment, power tools and machinery use. The ideal applicant is someone who is an all-rounder and can often work autonomously.
Some of the tasks can include:
Preparation of resources including learning materials and maintaining the cleanliness of equipment Administrative duties such as photocopying and ordering of resources and equipment Use and maintain machines and equipment used in the processing of timber, acrylics, ceramics, printmaking etc. Responsible for ensuring maintenance and servicing of all equipment, tools and machinery in accordance with manufacturers instructions Engage in safe work processes and appropriate chemical storage/handling in accordance with College Workplace Health and Safety procedures and guidelines. This includes personal protective equipment for staff and students. Create and maintain appropriate registers of equipment, resources and chemicals including the annual stock take, risk assessments, Safety Data Sheets and maintenance of equipment.
