Duties:
•Use abrasive blasting equipment, both fixed and mobile and work to relevant Australian Standards.
•Measure and record blasting profiles.
•Selection and application of protective coatings for a variety of surfaces, including structural steel, metalwork and plant & equipment. Able to follow relevant reference material.
•Measure and record coating thickness on a variety of surfaces.
•Clean, inspect and maintain blast and paint equipment, and work area on a daily basis.
•Work with supervisors to meet deadlines and requirements for timeliness and quality.
•Train other staff as required.
•Basic admin tasks (e.g. timesheets).
•Other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements:
?Desire to learn and a positive attitude.
?Team player.
?Communication skills.
?Minimum 1 year experience with industrial and commercial coatings.
?Driver’s license (C class).
?Hardworking and reliable.
?Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
?Attention to detail.
Desirable:
?White card (or ability to obtain).
?High risk licenses (forklift etc.).
?Medium or heavy rigid driver’s license.
