About the role
Reporting to theWorkshop Supervisor, the Painter is responsible for carrying out quality andtimely spray painting to either refurbish or repair second-hand equipment alongwith new machine repair, detail, re-colour of all RTA equipment in accordancewith best industry practices.
Duties
• Spray painting ofvarious types of equipment and machinery (sandblasting experience desirable)
• Preparation anddetailing of new machine build requirements
• Using spray guns,adjust nozzles and paint mixes to enable proper paint flow and coatingthickness
• Sand equipmentsurfaces to remove flaws
• Spray preparedsurfaces with specified amounts of primers and finish coatings
• Paint areas byhand that cannot be reached with a spray gun
• Complete accurateadministrative tasks in relation to service activities, including submittingjob sheets and timesheets
• MaintainCleanliness & Efficiency of Paint & Blast booths as well as all Paint& Blast Equipment.
Skills &experience
• Australian/NewZealand recognised qualification (Certificate III in Surface Preparation &Coating Application)
• Basic computerskills
• Current validdriver’s licence
• Ability to workunder time constraints
• Ability to worksafely as part of a team
• Ability tomaintain a high level of accuracy
• National Policeclearance
