We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Chemical Cleaners to join our team. As an Industrial Chemical Cleaner within the Oil and Gas Industry, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks using specialised industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment such as large volume diesel driven fluid pumps, boilers, etc. Your primary goal will be to ensure the cleanliness of industrial process plant equipment and associated pipework, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning of industrial equipment, pipework, machinery, and facilities using appropriate cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment as per SDS’s and adhering to proper safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as diesel driven pumps, steam boilers, and large volume tanks.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning progress, including inspections and completed tasks.
- Continuously monitor and assess cleaning procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with chemical cleaning within the oil and gas industry or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals such as Citric Acid and Ammonium Bifluoride, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines for industrial cleaning operations.
- Ability to understand and follow procedural directions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and operating heavy equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with co-workers and supervisors.
