This role will see you tasked with project delivery and maintenance mostly within water segments.
The Role
Working from our Wacol branch, the successful applicant will be exposed to new and major water management projects and be responsible for:
- Carrying out industrial installation projects and upgrades
- Reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation drawings
- Undertaking installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment
- Conducting industrial control gear installation and maintenance
- Fault find Extra Low Voltage and Low Voltage control and power circuits
There is an opportunity to step into a supervisory role and be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating work activities, ensuring quality of workmanship, compliance with Health & Safety standards and ensuring deliverables consistently meet set timeframes, budget, and target requirements.
The Person
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industrial field, preferable in water segments.
- Highly motivated, organised, and flexible
- Positive, personable, and enthusiastic team player or team lead
- Sound understanding of technical project life cycle
- Works exceptionally well in group situations and is capable of working autonomously.
- Effective communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to effectively organize work schedules, define priorities/ responsibilities and coordinate resources.
- Possess a strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring a safe environment including identifying hazards and developing measures to maintain health & safety standards.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills to engage proactively with various stakeholders, ensuring regular reporting on progress.
- Proven success in building productive relationships with team members, key stakeholders internally and externally.
Essential Qualifications
- Queensland Electrical Work Licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Class C Drivers Licence (QLD)
Beneficial Qualifications
- Working at heights
- EWP High risk work licence
- Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation
- EEHA Certification
- HV Switching
- Current LVR & CPR
- Leading hand or foreman experience would be highly regarded.
