The Opportunity
Based in the rolling green hills of Maleny QLD, we have fantastic opportunity available for experienced Industrial Electrician to join the Maleny Dairies maintenance team.
The role will be responsible for:
- Carrying out all scheduled and required repairs and regular maintenance work of plant equipment.
- Delivering and driving process developments and improvements and taking the lead for control system and reliability related activities across the site.
- Scoping and planning for the automation component of capital works and implementing process control, hardware and software improvements.
- Providing technical support and fault-finding expertise across the site.
- Working with trades during the installation and commissioning process, as well as optimisations.
- Manage the control system design, procurement, implementation and integration on capital projects and driving upgrades across the system.
- Ensuring that manufacturing lines are repaired and operational within a required time frame.
- Service job orders across production, distribution, transportation, and shared services lines.
- Completing all documentation regarding maintenance work according to company standards. Accurate records must be kept of all failures, repairs, replacements and ancillary maintenance data.
- Complying with all Safe Operating Procedures.
- Perform any reasonable task, as directed, that is within the incumbent’s qualifications, skills and experience, provided the task does not pose a health and safety risk.
About you:
- Trade qualification with an electrical/mechanical license with a minimum 3-5 years of experience.
- LVR and First Aid certification.
- FMCG experience would be highly regarded particularly in the dairy industry.
- Must have PLC knowledge – Siemens and Alan Bradley.
- VSD experience.
- Instrumentation experience is essential.
- Pneumatic/hydraulic experience would be highly regarded.
- Ability to build rapport across the organisation and communicate effectively in high pressure situations.
- Sound ability to operate a PC (email, word processing).
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot and fix any mechanical and machinery breakdowns and perform required adjustments to enable machinery to operate.
- Experience working within an ‘continuous improvement/program to excellence’ framework would be highly desirable.
Working Hours:
- The role is required to work a 38hr standard working week rostered Tuesday to Saturday plus reasonable additional overtime.
- The role will be required to work on public holidays, weekends and be available for breakdowns and shutdowns.
- Annual salaried position.
