Summary
IND is a South Australian-based industrial maintenance services organisation specialising in corrosion maintenance and industrial coatings (visit ind.com.au to learn more about us). We operate from our workshop facility located in Wingfield (SA) and provide on-site services throughout Australia.
We are looking for experienced Industrial Painters to join our SA-based team (must reside in South Australia). Full-time and casual opportunities with penalties, remote allowances and more. You will be required to travel to both the workshop and varied sites across South Australia.
Candidates must be experienced and confident in abrasive blasting and industrial coatings application.
These roles will involve a mix of local (Adelaide) and remote (FIFO or DIDO) works, so all candidates must be willing to work both locally and remotely.
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across diverse industries, including mining, oil and gas, water and wastewater, defence, manufacturing, infrastructure and more.

Experience, knowledge and skill requirements
- Strong understanding of industrial protective coating systems (epoxies, polyurethanes, polyurea, acrylics and enamels).
- Strong understanding of surface preparation requirements including abrasive blasting standards and testing methods.
- Proficient knowledge of surface preparation and coatings equipment including blasting rigs, spray pumps, dust collectors, de-humidifiers, compressors, generators and more.
- Strong organisational skills, specifically the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Competent digital technology skills including ability to use digital forms, phone applications, emails and online induction platforms.
- Knowledge of WHS legislation & practice, including general understanding of standards applicable to IND accreditation.
Training, licences and qualifications
Required:
- Current driver's licence
- White card
- Confined spaces ticket
- Working at heights ticket
Desirable:
- UHP Water Jetting ticket
EWP (over 12m) - HR or HC truck driver’s licence
- Forklift license
