Industrial / Aerospace Painter & Finisher

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Painter / Finisher to prepare, prime and finish a broad range of components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong history in either Defence, aerospace or relevant industry finishing processes, exhibit a strong quality focus, and have the ability to drive efficiency in their workload in a dynamic environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality and conforming products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets and maintain quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels within paint department and coordinate with the production manager to ensure availability of materials.
• Identify areas for improvement and suggest/implement solutions.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in a relevant role, preferably in Defence/aerospace industries or similar.
• Strong knowledge of paint processes/products.
• Able to follow a quality management system to maintain conforming product. 
• Problem-solving mindset.
• Relevant qualifications in Automotive finishing / Industrial finishing OR Aerospace finishing.

Additional Information:

This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work involved.
