Our client is a family owned business that specialises in the manufacturer of commercial and multi-residential blinds and curtains, with a proven track record with over 1500 commercial projects successfully completed within the last 4 years.
We are seeking a friendly, dedicated experienced Commercial Seamstress who can operate industrial sewing machinery to sew curtains and wants to work in and join an established business environment. Our client will provide training so you are able to produce high quality workmanship.
Being able to work with/sew and handle curtain fabric is essential. There will be some cross training among our other positions in workroom.
To be suitable you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Is technically and mechanically minded
- Is quality driven and can demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Is a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Has the ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Best practice manual handling techniques
- Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and fitness assessment
- This position involves high levels of repetitive and manual work
