About the Role:

The Industries Coordinator is responsible for supporting management and the day to day functions of the Industries area in both Medium and Maximum security and is an integral part of the Vocational Services team, reporting to both the Trades Supervisor and Vocational Services Management.

Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills to succeed in this role, as you will work in close liaison with manufacturers and other external agencies to meet production requirements.  

The usual hours for this full-time Fixed Term role, are Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, with commencing salary of $75,082 p.a. This is to provide cover for a period of maternity leave (minimum of 8 months) commencing in the role in approx. April.

Skills and Experience:

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant Industry qualifications and/or experience. 
  • Experience in supporting the management of production targets and deadlines. 
  • Experience in inventory and stock management. 
  • Current forklift licence, or willingness to obtain licence.
  • Highly developed teamwork skills. 
  • Evidence of knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative requirements in relation to the Workplace Health and Safety Act 2011 and associated regulations.  
  • Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination. 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally.

Desirable 

  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Computer skills relevant to the role.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
