About us

Dulkeith Computer Solutions Pty Ltd is a small but expanding Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Stawell, Victoria that provides computer support and solutions to a large number of organisations predominantly in Health and small businesses. Our clients are mainly in the Grampians and Wimmera Region from Ballarat to the Victorian-SA border. We provide a great opportunity to people to be able to use and develop skills in a very interesting and exciting organisation. This position is based in Stawell, Victoria, traveling to and working at various customers sites as required.

We are seeking one full time ongoing position for a Level 2 Systems Administrator position.

Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum of Certificate IV in Information Technology
  • As a Level 2, you will have prior experience in a helpdesk role, all of our staff share this role around to keep our staff in touch with basic jobs and grow our existing staff skills.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a helpdesk environment. 
  • The desire and ability to work as part of a team and as an individual is required.
  • Be a self starter, able to identify jobs/tasks and work through the process to service our customers needs.
  • Demonstrate good time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, discuss issues and develop skills.
  • Be able to work at all levels in the IT field and support colleagues to develop each other
  • You would undertake work best described as being an IT generalist, having particular knowledge, skills and experience in particular areas of IT are encouraged.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure/Entra ID and Migration from Microsoft On Prem to Cloud Applications is desirable. 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the helpdesk
  • Monitor and address alerts from our monitoring systems
  • Managing and deploying network infrastructure
  • System Administration of Windows and Linux environments, from server to workstations and laptops
  • IP Telephony
  • Being involved with the timely delivery of IT projects
  • Implementation of and reporting on Cybersecurity applications and policies
  • Be involved in preparation and make recommendations of capital replacements and systems improvements to management.
  • Provide great customer service

  • Vivantio - ITIL Helpdesk, Documentation etc
  • PDQ software inventory and deployment
  • VMware VCentre and ESXi
  • Dell SANs, Servers and end user devices
  • Cisco, Dell and Fortinet network infrastructure
  • AD, SQL, Sharepoint, Exchange, RDS and Citrix
  • M365, EntraID, 
  • many more products and systems we support

Experience

Have the desire and drive to develop and build on your skills. This can lead to progression within the team, while delivering job satisfaction to yourself, and delivering a better service to our customers.

As a Level 2 position there is a requirement to have 3 years experience in the IT field.
Onsite experience would be of preference.
Migrating on premise environments to cloud (Microsoft) would be of preference.
Implementing and maintaining Mobile Device Management (MDM) would be of preference.

Key Requirements - please do not apply if you do not meet these.

  • Provide a cover letter outlining why you believe you are suitable for the role including your “onsite experience” if applicable.
  • Be a great communicator.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience.
  • You will work in our office and onsite at our customers sites, this is not a remote support position.

Due to our customers being health care/aged care and as we work onsite at their premises, you will be required to meet their mandatory requirements regarding

  • Pass a Working with Children's Check
  • Pass a Police/Criminal check and maintain this status throughout your employment
  • Receive mandated immunisations and provide evidence which will be supplied to our customers upon request, currently this is influenza and Covid-19 (currently 3rd booster required.)

Wage

We will offer a pay rate as based on your skillset we see you can bring and use within our team. We would see an appropriately skilled Level 2 position wage starting out at $75,000 + Superannuation and offering a higher wage based on your experience where determined.

This is a full time, ongoing position, we work 40 hours a week giving you one RDO every 4 weeks.

We have a rotating on call roster which you would be required to take part in. You will be paid an on-call allowance and in addition, time worked when a call out is received. Based on the current roster, staff are on call approximately every six to eight weeks for a one week period.
