Form of workMcArthur are seeking a full-time Infrastructure Permits Officer to protect Council's infrastructure assets, through efficient and timely handling of enquiries, and business support processes.
This casual opportunity requires commitment to full time hours, commencing in January, through until May 2024. Working closely with the Infrastructure permits and compliance team, you will contribute to a high standard of customer service through response to internal and external enquiries and transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use council systems to record, manage and distribute correspondence within areas of responsibility.
- Process infringement notices, warning notices and compliance notices as required.
- Prepare reports for Council/Committee, including briefing notes, agendas and minutes.
- Respond to enquiries , providing technical advice or escalating to appropriate areas.
- Ensure customer requests are handled efficiently, displaying first point of contact resolution, with a customer centric focus.
Why you'd be successful:
- Previous experience in Local Government
- Demonstrated experience delivering and advising on permits.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office programs, such as excel and PowerPoint.
- Have a desire to collaborate and contribute to the improvement of systems and processes.
- Strong verbal skills - ability to resolve issues on the first point of contact
