Infrastructure Technical Lead

Reporting to the Head of Security and Infrastructure, this position is critical in developing and growing the infrastructure and support functions of the client company.

Main responsibilities:

• Carry out platform and solution support by prescribed support procedures
• Manage, maintain and perform updates to on-premise platforms and cloud services.
• Perform capacity planning for the management, maintenance and upkeep of platforms and cloud services.
• Analyse existing system process and policy and designs to achieve continual improvement through efficiencies, streamlining and rationalisation
• Ensure system documentation is created and maintained for all system changes
• Provide technical direction and guidance to less experienced team members to improve the technical capability of the team. This includes guiding team members with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with others to provide technical direction and standards across the organisation and support a culture of continuous improvement
• From time to time, act as a Technical Systems lead on projects and potentially drive vendors to deliver Infrastructure outcomes. This may include work on public, private or Hybrid cloud services.

 Skills and Experience

• 5-8 years of previous experience as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in a similar-scale commercial environment
• Experience working on projects to deliver technologically innovative solutions.
• Superior skills and experience in SCCM, Intune and Active Directory
• Superior Cloud Management skills (Azure & AWS) mandatory
• Superior Office 365 skills
• Platform virtualisation technology experience (MS HyperV & VMware). Experience with both is mandatory. (VXRail highly desirable)
• Strong, independent problem-solving methodology, demonstrating a commitment to a service delivery framework
• Proactive cloud/server performance reporting
• Rostered On-Call Support
