Our client is in local government that is seeking experienced Infrastructure Technical Officer to commence as soon as possible. This is a temporary placement with opportunities for a permanent role
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate traffic, parking, and drainage investigations, surveys, and designs.
- Collate traffic, speed, and crash data into a database and make recommendations for future Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) projects.
- Assist in the preparation of Specifications for Capital Works, including Tender and Quotes.
- Monitor operational and capital expenditures to ensure they remain within budget.
- Obtain and assess quotations from consultants and contractors.
- Investigate and prepare correspondence and liaise with customers regarding engineering and technical queries.
- Assess and approve new crossover applications.
- Assist the Project Engineer in formulating the annual road reseal capital works programs.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil engineering or equivalent (or demonstrated relevant experience)
- 1+ year prior experience in local government, preferably as a Technical Officer or equivalent
- Experience with GIS (Preferable)
- Police Clearance
- Right to work in Australia
