About the role

Role Location:  Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, 
Role Type:  12 month secondment/Fixed Term, Full-time

This is a critical role within the Institutional Capital Reforms Program which has been established to implement new requirements released by APRA under APS 112 and APS 113. This role will be responsible for leading and managing key changes to existing ANZ systems and credit & operational business process changes to ensure compliance with the new requirements of the Standards.

As the Initiative Lead, you and your team of Business Analysts will be responsible for development and implementation activity across our global lines of business.  This includes all aspects of solution design and business readiness activities, ensuring that key milestones and commitments are met in line with the agreed project plan.  You will also be responsible for identification, mitigation and management of operational and compliance risks throughout delivery and effective stakeholder and change management to ensure successful adoption by the business. 

You will have a broad stakeholder group to engage which includes senior leaders across Operations, Product Management, Legal, Group Risk, Assurance/OpRisk/Compliance, Change and Technology.  Your objective is to implement scalable and sustainable end-end solutions across our global network, including appropriate operating practices, controls, and frameworks.

Role Accountabilities

This role is accountable for the following in the context of the Institutional Capital Reforms Program:

  • Accountability to deliver strategic initiative/s that are large and complex, including people leadership of a team of Business Analysts. 
  • Responsible for planning and scoping of those initiatives in collaboration with Business Director and stakeholders. This could involve discovery work, solution design, feasibility and impact assessments / mobilisation plan, operating model design and business casing.
  • Lead the socialisation of initiatives with key stakeholders globally including Risk, Operations, Legal, Working Groups, Product, Coverage, R&A, Australia Division, Working Group members and relevant senior executive.   
  • Support the various delivery squads in implementation and continue excellent collaboration with those teams. 
  • Act as a SME for all aspects of the initiative, contribute to the design and execution of change management activities including facilitation of global Learning and Development activities. 
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with checkpoint processes.  Ensure overall project planning and other relevant framework activity is up to date and accurate.  
  • Preparation of high-quality Steering Committee and Executive briefing papers and reporting
