Our factory located in Portarlington runs a range of state of the art extrusion and injection molding machines to support our global footprint. THE ROLE - INJECTION MOULDER OPERATOR/FABRICATOR & WAREHOUSE
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Injection Moulder Operator/Fabricator to join our growing factory team to operate and take ownership of Injection Moulding Division.
Working in a fast moving environment, you will perform a variety of tasks on plastics and fabrication machinery where a typical shift could involve; die changes and programming, Quality Assurance reviews of moulded products, maintenance of Injection Moulders and fabrication/packaging of moulded parts.
This role would also include general warehouse duties including loading and unloading trucks on a regular basis. The successful candidate must have or be willing to obtain and operate a forklift.
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Will be responsible for the quality operation of designated machines.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and alert supervisor if any safety concerns are noticed
- Interpret job sheets and make sure sufficient material is available and ready to be loaded into the machines
- Identify and troubleshoot machine or QC issues
- Ensure adherence to company zero waste guidelines with all moulded scrap being reintroduced into production line
- Maximising production efficiencies
- Fabricate components for orders
- Supporting the production department with tasks as required
- Loading/Unloading of trucks as required
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Previous experience with plastic injection moulding highly desired
- Experience with hand and power tools and/or mechanical aptitude
- Forklift license preferred
- Have a strong “Can do” attitude and a desire to get their hands dirty
- Be presentable at work
- Be fit and willing to go above and beyond
- Have a solid understanding of meeting targets and interpreting job schedules.
- Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills.
- High attention to detail.
- A keen interest in your specialist area and the willingness and enthusiasm for continued learning and development.
