We are looking for an experienced Return to Work Coordinator, Injury Management Advisor or Claims Specialist to join our Occupational Health and Return to Work Team as an Injury Management Consultant.

This role will provide you the opportunity to work directly with SA Businesses providing early intervention to employees injured at work, supporting them in accessing appropriate treatment post injury and remaining in or returning to work in a safe environment.
Acting as a Return-to-Work Coordinator for these businesses, this role further looks to support businesses in claims management and providing specialised support working directly with claims agents in the development and implementation of Recovery & Return to Work Plans.
About the role:
- Casual employment based at Wayville requiring regular travel within SA
- Randstad are a large recruitment business nationally and worldwide, this role located in South Australia as part of a successful Occupational Health and Return to Work Consulting business
Key duties include:
- Triaging injuries and coordinating appropriate medical support
- Completing site visits and identifying suitable duties and/ or developing Graduated Return to Work schedules with injured workers and employers
- Meeting and communicating with medical providers to review capacity and assist in coordinating high quality treatment plans
- Supporting businesses and injured workers in lodging and managing claims including liaising with claims managers in the development and implementation of Recovery and Return to Work plans
- Working with businesses in developing effective injury prevention and management procedures to minimise the instances and impact of workplace injuries
Skills required
The successful applicant would ideally possess the following skills:
- Experience as a Claims Specialist, Rehabilitation Consultant, Return to Work Consultant or Injury Management Advisor
- Strong knowledge of the SA Return to Work legislation
- Knowledge of Injury Management, claims management and case management systems
- Ability to interpret medical reports and communicate with treatment providers and claims managers
- Ability to think of new strategies and approaches to provide effective support to businesses within SA
- Ability to work with high levels of autonomy and as part of a team (including other third-party providers)
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Experience in using Worksite Assessments, Job Dictionaries and Graduated Return to Work schedules
- Knowledge of Musculo-skeletal and Psychological injuries
- Strong computer and record management skills
- Current drivers license
- Good organisational and time management skills
Desirable
- Return to Work Coordinator certification
