- ASIC is seeking a full-time Innovation Hub Analyst to join their Strategic Planning and Intelligence Team

- Salary starting from $87,259 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience

The teamASIC's Intelligence & International (I&I) group drives our intelligence-led regulatory approach, using data-informed insights and intelligence. The group assesses reports lodged with ASIC, manages information and data flow, and leads our international engagement. The group is made up of the following teams: Misconduct and Breach Reporting, Criminal Intelligence Unit, Strategic Planning and Intelligence,
Innovation Hub, International, and the Information and Knowledge Resource Centre.The Strategic Planning & Intelligence (SP&I) team within I&I leads ASIC's strategic planning process. The SP&I team also leads ASIC's regulatory efficiency and
Innovation Hub functions.
The roleIn conjunction with the two Senior Advisers of the Hub function, promoting the
Innovation Hub objectives and be the 'champion' of Fintech/Innovative within ASIC, balancing the Hub's objectives with ASIC's overall objectives and regulatory principles. * Assisting in providing informal assistance to eligible fintech start-ups or regtech businesses, in cooperation with stakeholder teams and representing the work of the
Innovation Hub.
- Engaging and collaborating with international regulators and regulatory bodies, including Global Financial Innovation Network and IOSCO Fintech network.
- Preparing newsletters, presentations, briefs and papers about the work of the Innovation Hub and contribute to regulatory responses relating to risks and trends across a range of subjects.
- Maintaining registers and statistics relating the work of the Innovation Hub – including for the purpose of sharing intelligence within ASIC.
- Planning, coordinating and staging external ASIC presentations and/or events related to the work of the Innovation Hub.
- Coordinating key internal and external meetings and engagements (eg: ASIC's external advisory panel, the Digital Finance Advisory Panel, and ASIC's Quarterly Regtech Liaison Forum).
- Supporting engagement with fintech and regtech stakeholders, innovative start-ups, industry associations as well as local and overseas regulators.
- Supporting research and analysis work of the Innovation Hub to help ASIC consider and communicate fintech and regtech developments, trends and issues for external and internal audiences.
About youA relevant tertiary qualification. * Understanding of regulatory and business issues relating to fintech start-ups and regtech businesses would be desirable.
- Experience in, or understanding of, financial services or regulation is desirable.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate insights and inform decision-makers (including preparing briefs and reports).
- Ability to work under pressure, manage work volumes and display sound judgment.
- Experience in, or understanding of, event production, coordination, and/or management is desirable.
- Project management skills and experience.
- Stakeholder management experience including building, maintaining, and utilising industry networks.
